How does Lokcom Networks work?

Lokcom Networks is an IOT technology company. Our technology unlocks doors using a smartphone, PC or tablet in conjunction with our Lokcom app and Control Panel.

How do I get the app?

Once the installation of the router is done, we will give you access to your dedicated control panel and send a link to your phone to download the app.

What type of doors does Lokcom technology open?

Our technology works like a remote control and is compatible with most electric doors and locks. Lokcom works with house doors, building doors, private garages, and many others. In addition, we can connect the lock to the intercom and use this to open the door once it is triggered by the device.

What advantages does the Lokcom technology have?

Our Lokcom solution is complementary to your existing system and gives you the option to use either the physical or digital key.
Our technology enables you to open doors from any distance, be it when you are standing in front of it, or when you are anywhere else in the world.
It gives you total control of your property, where you can monitor who has accessed it and when through our Lokcom Control Panel.
Our solution also reduces your operating costs because key duplication or replacement is no longer necessary.

What does it take for Lokcom’s technology to work?

Our router needs to be connected to the electric lock and you need to have a smartphone, tablet or PC to download our free app. We will give you access to your dedicated control panel and you can start sending permissions.

What happens if my mobile is lost or stolen?

When you install the app, it asks you to create a 4-digit password. This means that before entering the app you must unlock it. Therefore, only you can open it. You can also get to a PC and use your control panel to unlock your door. Alternatively, call us and we can open the door remotely once we have verified your identity.

How do I make sure that the door has been opened?

Lokcom technology offers security for your property by generating an alert that you will receive every time someone uses the app to open the door. This is sent to the owner by email in real time. In addition, your property is registered to our secure client platform.

Is the network safe against hackers?

Lokcom technology is highly secure because we use a closed M2M network. This means that we do not depend on open and detectable networks such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or NFC, which can be interfered with.

Does the device require electricity?

Yes, the router carries a power supply that must be connected to an electrical network.

What happens if the router stops working for any reason?

Lokcom is a tool which facilitates the opening of doors, so we always recommend that our clients do not discard the keys or door controls. If the router fails, we will alert you that you need to use the physical key.

Who installs the device?

The installation is the responsibility of the client. We provide a detailed manual to the client and their preferred installer, which provides a step-by-step guide and ensures activation of the device. If you don’t have a preferred installer, we can recommend someone local to you.

Should I have Internet data on my mobile to use the app?

Yes, to use the app you must have Internet data on your smartphone.

How does the Control Panel work?

The Lokcom Control Panel is a tool, which enables our client to manage and control their properties. It provides the following information:

  • Who has entered your property and which door was used
  • Date and time of opening
  • What method was used to open the door (web or app)
  • Report of activities of the door
  • Can specify who you want to access the property, as well as the time and date of entry
